No way, dont let the proyect finish, continue auntil you can...
I join, I think this SPMP305x series is a powerfull device, and I try to contribute to the community by uploadin my experiences...

-Why not contact the manufacturers and try to get some official information ?-

You think they are happy to "give" the work that has really done almost time?
Another question is about the "hacked" players, that stole millions in fraud of the bad memory size (at this point, the manofacturer company got serious responsabilityes, maybe release for free the code/tools can help to skip this responsability, but at the end, they´ll lost the domain of his product)

Anyway, if you can contact enterprise, inquiry these documents and put on web... many has been gratefully...

Why not contact the manufacturers and try to get some official information ?

Seems it would be in their interest as it could give them more sales and no downside?

I also have one of these devices.. Could you please give more information about what wires you have hooked up? Is one of those pairs for the TTL serial port of the cpu?

I used my scanner to get some higher quality images of the pcb if they are of any use to you:

I've looked through the wiki, and various other sites but I'm not having much luck finding info about this particular device.

Wow.. That is a pretty cheap device. But with all the features, I'm thinking of buying it because it's only 30 bucks

I have cheap multimedia player except it's a rockchip:

Good luck with the reverse engineering of this device.

Any chance you'll come back to the wii homebrew scene?
